<\/a>On Friday 2 November 2012, while travelling towards the town of Soncino<\/a>, I had to change in Cremona. With almost two hours of free time available in total, I could not resist seeing something in this transit city as well. Compared to my previous visit<\/a>, Cremona has not changed for the worse: it is still a beautiful city.
\n
\n<\/a>This time, however, I noticed and appreciated the covered bicycle parking facilities located next to the railway station: they are nice, but perhaps not very effective against rain.
\n
\n<\/a>In the city, the horizontal markings of car parking spaces are often made with adhesive strips. They may be convenient to replace, but sometimes they come loose on their own: I realised this by tripping over the one shown in the following photo.
\n
\n<\/a>On the asphalt one often sees fingerprints and various rude gestures drawn in different colours with the help of a stencil.
\n
\n<\/a>Right in front of the station they have installed some nice litter bins with very useful ashtrays (even if rather tiny).
\n
\n<\/a>But the monstrous «innovative» concrete-and-plastic bins continue to prevail in the city: I even had the impression that they have increased in number. In my opinion, someone in the municipal administration must own a factory that produces them and therefore insists on ruining their own city through their mass installation.
\n
\n<\/a>Last time I had not noticed the nice installations of this type:

\n<\/a>At the «Book Fair», organised under the arcades of a large building in the city centre, everything was on sale: old books, some more than a hundred years old, art albums, magazines, etc. But also old newspapers, such as the local Il Regime Fascista: a 1929 copy cost 20 euros.
\n
\n<\/a>A banner invites pupils in their final year of lower secondary school to attend career guidance activities. But is that not a bit too early?
\n
\n<\/a>From the bus station the various intercity coaches depart. The only available legend provides just the numbers of the bays, while to find out from which one the required bus departs (in our case, the one to Soncino<\/a>) one inevitably has to ask at the ticket office.
