It&nbsp;is&nbsp;shown on&nbsp;a&nbsp;gold plate at&nbsp;the base of&nbsp;a&nbsp;rack with a&nbsp;wheel and a&nbsp;handle. But I&nbsp;never expected the idea to&nbsp;turn out to&nbsp;be&nbsp;so&nbsp;original: both then and now, the world&rsquo;s internet offers a&nbsp;long list of&nbsp;serial number intervals to&nbsp;determine the year and place of&nbsp;manufacture of&nbsp;a&nbsp;sewing machine. That is&nbsp;to&nbsp;say, we&nbsp;are offered to&nbsp;use the Internet as&nbsp;a&nbsp;paper encyclopedia: drive your finger along the cells of&nbsp;the table as&nbsp;on&nbsp;the roots of&nbsp;thick volumes and think for a&nbsp;long time about the interval of&nbsp;numbers (as&nbsp;letters on&nbsp;the roots) where the information that interests&nbsp;us is&nbsp;placed.<br \/>\n&laquo;No,&raquo; I&nbsp;thought, &laquo;in&nbsp;the 21st&nbsp;century, this is&nbsp;not the right way to&nbsp;present information&raquo;.<br \/>\nAnd as&nbsp;soon as&nbsp;I had enough free time, I&nbsp;wrote a&nbsp;simple (and a&nbsp;bit boring) PHP script.
